On those rare days when the sea is flat, or during the high season it’s still possible to enjoy the artificial waves at Surf House Kata.
Aside from Kata Beach people can enjoy good surfing also at Nai Harn, Kamala, Surin, Bang Tao beaches though the conditions there are more unpredictable due to moving sandbanks and other variables. Kalim Bay, north of Patong, often offers the best waves on Phuket although since it’s a shallow reef break rather than a beach break so it’s more suitable for experienced surfers.
